Outstanding Performance at Tweed Heads Cross Country Event

Tweed Heads witnessed an extraordinary day of athleticism and determination as 110 students from our esteemed college competed in the highly anticipated Cross Country event. The event showcased the college's commitment to sports and provided a platform for students to showcase their talent and spirit. With an impressive number of participants, the day was marked by exceptional performances and outstanding achievements.

Among the participants, an impressive 43 students secured their spots to represent the college at the upcoming CIS (Combined Independent Schools) Cross Country event later this term. Their remarkable accomplishments highlight the dedication and hard work put in by both the students and their coaches in preparing for this prestigious competition. The college community is eagerly looking forward to cheering on these talented individuals as they aim for further success at the CIS level.

The Cross Country event also recognised the exceptional performances of individual students in various age categories. These young athletes demonstrated remarkable skill, endurance, and determination throughout the race, earning them the well-deserved title of age champions. The college congratulates each of these outstanding students for their exceptional achievements.

Last weekend saw more than 300 swimmers from 30 clubs compete at the Swimming North Coast Winter short course championships.

Bishop Druitt College had 12 students swimming - Nick Alford, Lilly Geddes, Issac Ryan, Saul Easman, Matthew Healy, Bayley Johnson, Zara Johnson, Edward Neal, Katarina Neal, Markus Matthews, Indiana Eggeling & Téo Eggeling. Every single student placed top 3 in some of their events, bringing home a combined 68 medals between them! Coffs Harbour Swimming Club was the overall winning team, and Téo Eggeling (2) was the overall 9/u boy age champion.
