Music Tuition Fee rise in 2024
It has been a long time since BDC raised its tuition fees for instrumental lessons. In 2024, we will be raising the cost of 30-minute lessons by $2. The current $35 per half hour will be $37 from Term 1 2024. This is still one of the cheapest rates for music tuition in the area and our tuition staff are the best in the area.
Music tutors will adjust their fees reflecting this increase from Term 1 2024.
Instrumental Lessons in 2024
All instrumental lessons will roll over into 2024. If your child is discontinuing lessons, please advise Ms Rachel Caesar and the music tutor before the end of the year. Lessons for 2024 will resume in Week 2 Term 1. Any students wishing to start learning an instrument in 2024 are welcome to complete an application form before school resumes.
Secondary Assembly performances
Thank you to our performers at Secondary Assemblies. In Week 6, the Junior Jazz Band performed “Sunny Side of the Street” with Ms Truus Muelenbroeks on saxophone. Thank you to Mr Danny Stitt and Ms Georgie Chorley for their work with this group and preparing this item.
Thank you also to Tim Hardman who performed at the Week 8 Secondary Assembly
In the holidays, we wish Adelaide Robinson the very best as she leads the singing of the Coffs Coast Community Carols at Brelsford Park. Please go along and support Adelaide if you can. It is always a lovely family event.
There are also a number of performances and workshops throughout the area in the Christmas break featuring staff, students, and parents from the BDC Community. Some of these include Camp Creative workshops with Tony Rowley in Bellingen and also the next WPAS Production - Cats featuring many of our Performing Arts students and alumni.
Thank you everyone for a wonderful 2023. Have a well-deserved break and I wish you all a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
