Thank you to everyone for an amazing term. We started with the College Musical which was a massive success and have ended the term on a high with Eisteddfod results. In between, we have multiple excursions, visiting artists, and performance opportunities both in the college and the wider community. Thank you to all Performing Arts students for the commitment this term and I hope you have a wonderful well deserved holiday.

Performing Arts Awards Evening
Planning is underway for our annual Performing Arts Awards Evening. This event will take place on Thursday 14th November so please mark this in your diaries. There is an expectation that all students involved in Performing Arts through ensembles, academies and groups will attend as well as those students on Performing Arts Scholarships and in the High Performance Performing Arts Program. The event is going to be another highlight for the Performing Arts faculty and we are looking forward to it.
We are also asking for all perpetual trophies to please be returned if they have not already done so. If you were an award recipient and you still have your trophy, please return to one of the Performing Arts staff before the end of the term.

Boom Clash Rockstar
Congratulations to the Secondary Rock Band who were successful in progressing to the live semi finals of the Boom Clash Rockstar competition. This was the second year running that the group made it to the live semi-finals. Unfortunately, the finals are in Burleigh Heads in the middle of the school holidays so the group cannot attend. Congratulations however to Frank Lane, Axel Nicholson, Bram Nicholson, Bhadra Avarind, Tenzin Aichroy and Matthew Healy for making it to that level. Fingers crossed for BCR back in Coffs in 2025.
TAFE Winter School Courses
In the school holidays, TAFE is running a series of short courses that students can be involved in at the CHEC Campus in Coffs. There are a wide range of courses covering a broad range of subjects including music. These include songwriting, sound production and string instrument repair.
