Friday 28th October, the Zonta Club of Coffs Harbour District 24 hosted its annual Young Women in Public Affairs Award.

From the multiple entries, there were 12 candidates invited to attend the event. The calibre of the contestants was outstanding as all of the young women had passed a rigorous application and interview selection process to arrive at this final stage. 

Mikal (the Class of 2022) has been awarded the 2022 Zonta Young Women in Public Affairs Award. It recognizes young women who demonstrate superior leadership skills and a commitment to public service and civic causes and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life.

We would also like to congratulate the other nominees and finalists who shared their expertise and passion at the dinner. Thank you to the Zonta Club of Coffs Harbour for providing this opportunity each year for young women.

It is a great honour for Mikal to have been selected as the winner of the Young Women in Public Affairs Award for the Zonta Club of Coffs Harbour and we congratulate her.
