Our annual BDC EYE Festival (Express Yourself Everyone) will be held in Week 10, (18 September to 22 September). We are excited to announce that this year our EYE Festival theme is ‘HEROES’.
The EYE Festival is a tradition at Bishop Druitt College where Primary students participate in a range of STEM, Visual Art and Performing Art workshops as well as performing at the morning assemblies in the Branson Centre at 9.15am. The week is full of amazing activities and is a celebration for everyone.
We would love parents to attend as many of our events as possible. They are lots of fun and showcase some of the fabulous work the students have produced. All classes will perform as part of the Monday or Tuesday assemblies. A timetable has been attached for you to view, with all parent sessions highlighted in red.
◆ Thursday 21 September: Specialist or Teacher Nominated Assembly
EYE Festival T-shirt Fundraiser
During EYE Week, students are able to wear their sports shorts along with their EYE shirt each day. If students do not have an EYE shirt, they must wear their BDC sport shirt. Any other costumes are to be appropriately named and brought to school prior to the activity or performance.
Gallery Walk
Parents are invited to come and join in the fun of EYE Week and see all of the learning that has occurred throughout the week on Friday 11.10am-12.45pm. You will have the opportunity to not only see your child’s work during this session, but view what other classes have done too.
