Congratulations to Sadie Williams who won first prize in the national West Connex ‘Canal to Creek’ art competition recently with her work titled ‘The Collector’. 

Sadie’s work depicts a native Australian bee collecting pollen and is created with thousands of small dots. Sadie was flown to Sydney for the awards presentation and also received a tour of the West Connex facility. 

Her artwork will now be placed on permanent display in their head office along with other prize-winning students. Sadie received a fantastic glass trophy for her efforts and was also awarded a brand new IPAD as part of her prize. 

Congratulations Sadie! Sadie’s younger sister, Molly also claimed 3rd prize in the Year 9 category with her work titled ‘The Journey’ but was unfortunately unable to attend the awards presentation.
