Year 12 continue to let us know about offers they have received to study at university or work next year! Some students have received multiple offers which is fantastic!
Congratulations to these students:
Year 12 dedicated final careers newsletter
Students and parents of the Class of 2023 have had regular access to career information and advice via the BDC Careers Website, Year 12 Careers Google Classroom, Careers Facebook Page and via a dedicated Year 12 newsletter that I distribute each term. I have just sent them their final careers newsletter, click here to access it. The newsletter has lots of information and handy links they can access to find further info about what to do when they get an offer from uni, information about SRS, EAS, scholarships, and more.
Year 11 Career Planning is underway!
This fabulous cohort has recently started their Career and Transition Planning document through the BDC Careers Website. The planning document is a great tool for students to set goals, record actions required, and keep their career planning on track throughout their final very busy year of secondary education. It can be shared with parents and teachers and will be regularly reviewed and updated over the next 12 months.
Year 10 get a taste of University life
A group of Year 10’s recently spent the day at Southern Cross University’s Coffs Harbour campus and took part in 2 taster courses of their choice. Courses on offer were Marine Science, Education, Occupational Therapy, Sports Science, and Nursing.
