Excitement is brewing at Bishop Druitt College as its Secondary Mountain Biking Team gears up for two inter-school events. For the first time, the college has entered a team into two locally-run events. The first being the 4th round of the prestigious @focusbikes_ausnz NSW Schools MTB Series and the second being the inaugural NCIS Mountain Biking Competition.
These competitions promise to be an exhilarating experience for all school-aged riders, and Bishop Druitt College is determined to make its mark on the mountain biking scene. With a mixture of traditional cross-country (XCO) and enduro racing, the students will no doubt be challenged by the network of trails chosen for these events.
For the Bishop Druitt College Team, this event represents a fantastic opportunity to showcase their training, determination, and passion for mountain biking. The college's Mountain Biking Program has been steadily growing in popularity, and participating in these events is a testament to the program's success and the student's commitment to the sport and selection process.
Coaches Patrick Galvin and Joel Davis, expressed their excitement about the upcoming event, with Joel saying, " It's fantastic that we have such amazing trails on the Coffs Coast to begin with, but the fact we are now able to put forward a team to compete in two quality local events is certainly what we have been working towards the past 18 months with the establishment of our Mountain Biking Program."
The two events are scheduled to take place on the 11th and 31st of August at Wedding Bells State Forest (Woolgoolga MTB Park).
For those interested in witnessing the action, head to Wedding Bells State Forest and show your support for the Bishop Druitt College Mountain Biking Team as they compete against other talented riders in the @focusbikes_ausnz NSW Schools MTB Series and NCIS School Competition.
Let's wish the team the best of luck and hope they bring home some well-deserved results from these two events.
