Christian was a foundation student who started in Year 8 in 1995, the first year of the secondary school and became the first Dux of college in the HSC year 1999. Since finishing his HSC, Christian has worked as a computer technician (at Bishop Druitt College to start with, then at McDowall State School in Brisbane), a bank teller, call centre operator, bank manager, university tutor, and has been working at executive and senior executive levels in the Australian Government since 2011.
Throughout his career, Christian has developed a compassionate, collaborative, and purposeful leadership style and he brings a passion for diversity and inclusion to everything he does. Over the last five years, he has worked in the social services portfolio, with a particular focus on government-funded disability support programs. He has also been Pride Champion at the Department of Social Services since early 2020 and is an active advocate and mentor in LGBTIQA+ inclusion.
Christian did have a go at a Bachelor of Information Technology after moving to Brisbane but dropped out of university the first time around. Since then, he has completed a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), a Postgraduate Certificate in Business, a Master of Arts (Research) in early modern intellectual history, and a Master of Business Administration. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders Australia and New Zealand, a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute, and a Certified Member of the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership.
Congratulations, to Christian for his outstanding vocational success.
